2007 NC Criterium Championships

Will
had a great race yesterday in Fayetteville. He competed in the NC
State Championship Criterium in the Elite Men's Cat 1/2/3. He finished
11th overall, winning the field sprint at the finish. Not bad for his
first race rubbing shoulders with the 1s and 2s!

My son,
Will, and I have been on the team for 5 years. Will is a sophomore at
Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC. He races on the Men's A squad of
the Mountain Bike Team and is currently in transition from the Men's B
Road Team to the A Team. Two weekends ago he moved up to CAT 4 @
Greenville. On the weekend of February 24-25 he placed 2nd in the road
race on Saturday, and won the crit on Sunday. Last weekend, March 3-4,
he placed second in the road race on Saturday, and won the road race
on Sunday. He will be moving up to CAT 3 very soon as he already has
more than enough points. When he comes home for the summer in early
May, he will be hitting the road to race as many CAT 3 races for
Charlotte Sports Cycling as he can.
